The Messi Life

Messi--Greek for "Middle." Born as the middle child-- and one for whom peace and harmony are paramount--I often find myself "in the middle" of my family and friends, sifting through the richness of my Catholic faith, politically moderate and in the middle of five books and three projects at once. I have also spent 37 years learning the hard way that the Truth is often in the middle, and that sometimes a "mess" can be a beautiful thing.

About Me

R C Garard
I am a Mother to two young sons who teach me about unconditional love and how to live simply, and an almost grown step-daughter who teaches me about the complexity and beauty of life. I spend my non-Mommy time teaching high school English full-time, watching all things sports with my dear, smart, husband who teaches me how to live in the real world, taking history vacations with my family, running, and reading anything I can get my hands on. Lucky to have fabulous parents, a creative brother and best-friend sister, and thankfully still connected to really cool cousins and parental Aunts and Uncles, I am rich in family love indeed. I also lean on my sister-friends and their bottomless wisdom.I am blessed beyond my worth.
